Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is a well-known Indian actress, best known for her role in the movies Beta Saajan and Hum Haiin Koun..! She was first known for her role in Tezaab from the 1980s where she co-starred alongside an established actor Anil Koopor. Her next role was in Dil which she was on screen with Aamir. She was born into an Mumbai middle-class family, and began dancing when she was a child. At the age of 16, she began acting and was a victim for a few years as the majority of her first films were failures. However, she eventually achieved success and became one of the top actresses within the Indian film business. After her marriage, she took some time off from acting prior to returning. In the last few years, Dixit played a significant role in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggles of women in India. Dixit has been nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she took home eight. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit, India's fourth highest civil honor. Also, she is well known for her charitable works.
