Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September. 21 1982) is a famous American actor. She is most famously known for her role appeared as Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost television show, and Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Her birthplace was Worthington, Ohio and dropped out of school when her parents separated to go to Los Angeles to live with her mother. Though she struggled financially and in the beginning, she made her acting debut acting as Rachel's Room's primary character. The role she played of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the T.V. movie Murder in Greenwich in 2002 earned her an award nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace was Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television show in 2004. The show featured her as the principal role for two seasons, and won the Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace, who had worked together with Tom Welling on The Fog in 2005, was looking to go into film. She was in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 as well as Taken (2008) opposite Liam Neeson. In 2008, she reprised the role Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). The actress also appeared in Alice as Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is the modern-day adaptation of the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played Shannon's part in Lost for two episodes, including the final episode of the series. The year was 2013, and she appeared in the sixth season of Californication. She portrays Faith a groupie and a muse to the stars who captures the interest of Hank Moody played by David Duchovny. A member of the Gyllenhaal clan she is the daughter of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and the older sister of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. When she was a teenager She began working as a small part-time actress for her father. She was also in Donnie Darko alongside her sister. She appeared next in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received nominations for the Golden Globe Award in both the romantic comedy Sherrybaby (2005) and in the romance comedy Secretary (2002). The two films were critically acclaimed. She had a number of commercially successful films, such as World Trade Center. However, it was her role as Rachel Dawes that brought her more attention with The Dark Knight (2008). In the film, her performance as Crazy Heart as a mother with a single child received her a nomination for the Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. Then she was in comedies and dramas such as Nanny McPhee's Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012 Her other parts include acting as a Secret Service agent for The Secret Service in White House Down 2013, as a vocalist in Frank 2014, and in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, where she portrays the lead role. Gyllenhaal composed and directed her first feature film, The Lost Daughter in 2021. The thriller that dealt with psychological issues was awarded the Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival. The Lost Daughter was also nominated for the Academy Award of Best Adapted Screenplay.
