MANUEL-TURIZO
Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major international inroads into the Latin pop culture. In the year 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The year 2017 saw the release of ADN, his first long-player with La Industria Inc. in Medellin. This album peaked at 8 places on the Top Latin Albums charts. The following year, he teamed up with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. He collaborated together with Noriel on Mala Influencia in 2020 and the following year came out with his second album, the chart-topping Dopamina. Later in 2021 he performed an duet with the TINI streaming hit single Maldita Foto. 2000 which included the smash record La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was born into a family of musicians his mother and older brother are musicians. According to Turizo, music was a fundamental part of his life. In his childhood he was taught how to perform on the guitar, piano as well as the ukulele. While his initial career choice was becoming a vet, His brother Julian advised him to go for singing lessons with a Cuban teacher. The end result personally discovering his talent in the field of singing changed the direction of his life.
